Commentaires : Adapted from the Disney film in a brilliant production using masks, puppetry, ballet, music, colour and African rhythms, this musical opened on Broadway in November 1997, and is still running. Having cost some $15 million dollars to stage, the scenery, costumes, puppets, lighting and entire production were hugely praised and it was acclaimed as one of the West End’s greatest ever pieces of theatrical staging.
